Lukoran

Lukoran is mentioned in the 1068. It is the  birthplace of Simon Klimantović (Klemenović, around 1460-1520), Glagolitic writer, as he said to himself in his chronicle of the Glagolitic (1511). His two collections are kept in the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg andone in Zagreb.

Lukoran is a place of fishermen and  with his three settlements, Mali Lukoran, Turkija and Prtljug, are a remarkable holiday destination for those who seeking places where you can relax in peace and quiet, walk to the old historical villages, swim in the wild and isolatedbeaches or climb the highest peak of the island Scah (286m).
